Mobs ignore water streams

Place a spawner above a moving water stream (or lure a zombie into water or whatever) and fly above it... Moving back and forth.
The creature will follow the player, ignoring the water current, making (non-laggy) mob farms difficult to create.
Expected behavior: water streams should push mobs, just as they do entities and the player character.
Confirmed on the current client for Xbox Series X, mobile (iOS and Android), and PC.
