Downloaded Trains mod. Doing everything as per the guide book - first, spawn a locomotive, then repair the oil rig and get oil carriage, spawn that one on tracks right after the locomotive. And afterwards cannot get into the cab to drive the train - just clipping through it from ground level. The oil car connection to the locomotive also seems to be odd.
